Marketing Director, Lead Generation – Position Description

Our Marketing Director for Lead Generation will report to and work closely with the VP of Marketing. In this role, you will plan, implement and track inbound and outbound lead generation campaigns that funnel leads into the sales pipeline to generate revenue. We are a fun, hard-working team, passionate about creating a world-class technology and services company to transform the lives of special needs students. This position is located in San Francisco, CA.


  • Creating, implementing and managing a range of inbound and outbound marketing campaigns utilizing email, direct mail, advertising (print and online), SEO, social media and lead nurturing.
  • Managing the master campaign calendar.
  • Implementing best practices for leads database to increase data integrity and market reach.
  • Creating and maintaining reports that track and measure the success of marketing initiatives.
  • Recommending improvements to marketing campaigns based on results.


  • Excellent project planning, scheduling and tracking skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Creative and self-motivated.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Using social media for audience building and engagement.
  • Basic information layout/design skills for driving creation of clear, visually appealing, and compelling emails and landing pages.
  • Experience with or similar CRM and managing customer databases.
  • Experience with Marketo and/or other email/marketing automation tools a strong plus (i.e Constant Contact, Vertical Response, Genius, Eloqua, Pardot, etc…).

Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience related to lead generation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communication studies, business administration or related field.
  • MBA a strong plus.
